El tequila José Cuervo Especial se elabora solo con el mejor agave azul, recogido a mano en las plantaciones de las bodegas de la familia José Cuervo. Estos agaves crecen durante ocho años y deben tener un contenido mínimo del 51% de a zúcares antes de su recogida.
Es un tequila ligeramente dulce, con matices de roble y de especias, con el agradable toque picante de la canela y la suavidad final de la vainilla. El aroma también es dulce, con notas de agave, alcohólicas y un toque de madera, que lo equilibra.
El resultado de las mezclas de tequilas jóvenes con reposados, es una bebida de sabor intenso, pero agradable. Aunque se puede disfrutar perfectamente solo, con un poco de hielo o limón, este tequila es muy apreciado para la coctelería, ya que su sabor mezcla muy bien con refrescos y zumos, tanto los cítricos como los dulces.
